A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned as follows: Gules, a sun in splendor Or, issuant from wings conjoined at base Azure, charged with five arrowheads of the second. Attached below the shield, a Blue scroll inscribed "PROFESSIONALS" in Gold.
The sun in splendor with the 12 rays, alluding to a bomb burst, represents the support relationship to the 12th Combat Aviation Brigade. The blue wings symbolize the unit's aviation support mission. The five arrowheads suggest the tactical support functions Transportation, Ordnance, Quartermaster, Health Service and Signal. The arrowheads, in the form of a chevron reversed, represent the combat support role and military readiness functions the unit provides.
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 10 May 2006.
